GAMS (Grant Application Management System) provides a web-based means to create, track, approve, and submit proposals to sponsoring agencies. This is a basic training course on the routing and approval process in GAMS. Principal Investigators are the only users who will be able to initiate the routing of a proposal. This workshop will provide participants with an overview of GAMS and details on how to route and approve a proposal.
- GAMS is a complete web-based application with a life-cycle information system for applying for and managing sponsor-funded research projects
- GAMS is fully compatible with major Federal eGovernment initiatives including Grants.gov and is a cooperating partner of NIH eRA Commons initiative
- GAMS is proposal development, routing and approval cycle, award management, and advanced reporting
- GAMS will improve the collection of required proposal information by investigators and administrators by providing a single location for the upload of proposal documents
- GAMS will be required for all proposal submissions as of Fall 2007
All deans, chairs, and directors responsible for approving grant proposal submissions should attend this workshop.
