This interactive workshop explores a topic that many individuals dread to think about: getting older. If you are dealing with the care of aging parents, beginning to notice the effects of aging on yourself and wonder if it is normal, or even if you work/communicate with older individuals daily, this workshop is for you. This workshop is an engaging approach to bust many of the myths surrounding aging as well as investigate topics such as:
- Communicating with older people
- Stroke and communication
- Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease
- Swallowing and aging
