Bobcat Build is the university's one-day community service event when Texas State students give up a Saturday to help residents in San Marcos and surrounding communities with clean up and restoration projects and more. This year, a record 3,200 Texas State students volunteered at over 100 worksites, such as schools, United Way of Hays County agencies, churches, city parks and other locations. The Parents Association's sponsorship helped purchase tools to accomplish the many activities of the day. Bobcat Build helps students realize the importance of giving back to the community.
