New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) and Transfer Student Orientation

Members of the Parents Association assist in welcoming new parents, answering questions about the campus, and sharing first-year experiences. These sessions emphasize academic counseling; provide discussions with faculty, staff, and students; answer questions about university life; and provide an overview of academic standards, cost of on-campus living, and available health care. During NSO, parents are encouraged to visit the Texas State campus and become familiar with campus life.
