The Texas State Parents Association was founded in 1976 as a support organization dedicated to bringing parents and students together to enhance student success. We have seen how students blossom when family and friends take an active interest in their education and that’s why we are so passionate about the Parents Association. Our success is measured through providing information and opportunities to the families who have entrusted their students to our care.
We use the following objectives in our activities and development:
to increase communication among the parents, administration, faculty, and students about Texas State’s goals and policies, programs and student activities
to offer support and assistance to parents when concerns arise about their sons or daughters
to continue to enhance academic achievement through support of campus programs
to advise parents on benefits of the liberal and professional education offered at Texas State
to promote the University through developmental activities and to encourage financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations
to provide an opportunity for Texas State parents and administrators to interact.
