Texas State announces faculty promotions, tenure for 2013

Texas State University has promoted 54 faculty members and approved tenure for 33.

The measures will take effect on Sept. 1 and were approved by the Texas State University System Board of Regents during its regular meeting held May 23-24 in San Marcos on the Texas State campus.

Promoted from associate professor to professor (with academic department in parentheses) were Gwynne E. Ash (curriculum and instruction), Lynn Brinckmeyer (music), Jeffrey Dell (art and design), Richard W. Dixon (geography), Debra A. Feakes (chemistry and biochemistry), Jon S.
