Noises Off

The Texas State University-San Marcos Department of Theatre and Dance presents Michael Frayn’s classic comedy Noises Off Feb. 15-20 on the main stage of the Theatre Center.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15-19, with a 2 p.m. matinee Feb. 20.

Directed by Richard Sodders, Noises Off tells the story of a hapless English acting troupe touring a production of a farce titled Nothing On. This ever-popular British sex farce features mistaken identities, sexual dalliances and many doors opening and shutting, as well as chaotic backstage glimpses while the show is being performed. Called “the funniest farce ever written” by the New York Post, this play has kept audiences laughing since 1982.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $7 for Texas State students. For reservations, call the Texas State box office at (512) 245-2204. For more information, please call (512) 245-2147 or visit the Department of Theatre and Dance Web site at www.theatreanddance.txstate.edu/.
