Texas State University-San Marcos has been unanimously voted full membership to the University Council for Educational Administration consortium.
The Educational and Community Leadership faculty has been involved in a lengthy and rigorous application process to gain full membership into the UCEA consortium. The entire process included an extensive self-study report and two-day site visit, both of which reviewed the university’s master’s, post-master’s and doctoral programs along with faculty teaching, research and service.
After a motion from the UCEA Executive Committee, the site visit team presented their report to the UCEA Plenary in Pittsburgh, where Texas State was voted full membership into the consortium. The site visit team described Texas State’s EDCL/SI program as the model national educational leadership program for educational equity and social justice.
The University Council for Educational Administration is a consortium of higher education institutions committed to advancing the preparation and practice of educational leaders for the benefit of schools and children.
