SAN MARCOS, TEXAS — April is Southwest Texas State University’s annual Arts month, with numerous theatre, dance, art and music events held on campus. Additional information will follow concerning major events. Promotional photos of events can be provided electronically or a hard copy upon request. THEATRE

  • Event: Taming of the Shrew, Directed by Deborah Charlton

  • Description: Shakespeare’s classic comedy on the “battle of the sexes” which ranks as one of the Bard’s most rollicking and hilarious tales.
  • Event: Wild Horse, written and directed by Charles Pascoe
  • Time: Tuesday-Saturday, April 24-28 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m.

  • Description: A musical that tells the story of Przewalski, the original wild horse from Mongolia, who is crowded out of his natural environment and what happens when he asks for help from the civilized horses at Rodeo Mongolia. For all ages.
