Special kids bring sunshine to Hill Country
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS — The Sunshine Kids 2000 Texas Hill Country Adventure will be held June 10-18 at Southwest Texas State University and the Central Texas area.
The Sunshine Kids Foundation is a national, non-profit, volunteer organization, based in Houston, which provides positive growth for young people with cancer.
The nine-day adventure is co-sponsored by the City of San Marcos SWT.
Selected from hospitals nationwide, the Sunshine Kids will arrive in Austin on June 10, and will spend the week visiting area attractions including the Alamo, Sea World, Schlitterbahn, Sunrise Exotic Ranch, Sunset Bowling Lanes, Wonder World, the state Capitol, Canyon Lake Marina and Thunder Hill Racetrack. The all-expense paid trip is funded through donations to the Sunshine Kids Foundation.
Financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, clubs and civic groups is welcomed.
