SAN MARCOS—When James R. Crawford wasn't working with light in the laboratory, he and his wife were watching it work its magic in nature. Crawford, a New Braunfels resident who chaired Texas State University-San Marcos' Department of Physics for more than two decades, died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash. He was 63. | ![]() |
