Industry Veteran to Drive and Support the Growth of LiteScape's Interactive Solutions for IP Telephones

FOSTER CITY, Calif., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- LiteScape Technologies (www.litescape.com), a leading provider of interactive communication solutions for converged networks, announced the appointment of Robert Habibi as its new VP of Worldwide Field Operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, Habibi is responsible for sales and support efforts for all LiteScape software products.

Habibi joined LiteScape from Caspian Group (a leading managed services and IT consulting organization), where he was the VP of Sales/Marketing. He was responsible for building the first nationwide sales organization and diversifying the company's revenue stream beyond a single customer. Habibi was part of the M&A team that architected the eventual sale of the company in 2003.

Prior to Caspian Group, Habibi was the President and COO of Netergy Networks (NTRG) and also served on the board of directors. Netergy was an early leader in IP PBX and VOIP industry. Habibi joined Netergy Networks from Sun Microsystems where he spent eight years in a variety of sales and marketing positions. In his last assignment he was managing the global team responsible for the Enterprise Services business with the top global Systems Integrators. Habibi also held various sales and management positions with Unisys Corporation. Habibi earned his BSCS and MBA with honors from Texas State University.
