NINA VACA-HUMRICHOUSE is a graduate of Texas State University with a B.A. in Speech Communications and Business Administration where she was honored as a Distinguished Alumna in 2005. Dr. Vaca-Humrichouse also holds a Doctor of Laws “Honoris Causa” from Northwood University. She founded Pinnacle Technical Resources in 1996 as an information technology services provider to the Fortune 500. As the first two-time winner of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year Award, Dr. Vaca- Humrichouse appeared in Fast Company Magazine as one of the Top 25 Women Business Builders in the country. She was also selected as one of the 50 Most Important Hispanics in Business and Technology by Hispanic Engineering & Technology Magazine, and is a two-time winner of Hispanic Business Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for InfoBusiness. She received the Ernst & Young 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology and Communications for the Southwest Region.
The Nina Vaca-Humrichouse Scholarship provides an annual scholarship of $500 payable to any student who meets the following criteria:
Applications due FEBRUARY 15 -- Scholarship issued the following Fall Semester
Selection Criteria:
1. Applicant must be enrolled full-time taking a minimum of 12 hours per semester.
2. Applicant must have a minimum overall 2.5 GPA.
3. Applicant preferably a minority student minoring in multicultural studies. (International, U.S., or Women’s Studies)
