Some questions to consider during your classroom observation and reflection:

• What mathematics topic and objectives of the lesson?
• What methods of teaching did the teacher use?
• Describe the student to teacher interactions and level of communication.
• How much time was devoted to presentation of the topic and how much time was given to students to work independently? In small groups? As a class?
• What form of discipline did the teacher use and did the students respond to this method?
• What reaction do you have about teaching from your observation?
