The Texas Mathworks Junior Summer Math Camp is a multi-level 2-week program for students going into grades 4-8.*
From a first-year program that introduces students to beginning concepts in algebra through play-acting and drama (dramathics), to a more advanced program in problem solving and discrete math, students enjoy exploring problems together and share in the excitement of mathematical exploration and discovery.
The Junior Summer Math Camp curriculum is co-authored by Dr. Max Warshauer, Ms. Hiroko Warshauer, and Dr. Terry McCabe from the Mathematics Department at Texas State University.
Half-Day Camp
The half day program is $290, which includes all of the materials, breakfast, lunch, and a snack. The largest camp is held in San Marcos, Texas at DeZavala Elementary. If you are interested in more information on other locations, please contact our office in late April or May.
Residential Camp
A limited number of spaces are available for residential students. The residential program is limited to Level 5 only. The total cost for the residential program is $995, which includes all program costs and room and board at Texas State University during the camp.
* Exceptions to grade level will be made depending on mathematical background and experience. Level changes will be made during the first two days of camp.
