Norouz is the traditional festival of Spring which is considered the start of the new year. The name comes from Avestan meaning "new day/daylight". This holiday has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in the Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Black Sea Basin, and the Balkans! It promotes the values of peace and solidarity between generations and within families as well as reconciliation and neighborliness, thus contributing to cultural diversity and friendship among peoples and different communities.
