Continued development and review in understanding and using a foreign language. The TSIE Program will deliver English as a second language instruction in advanced academic writing practices. Critical thinking tasks will be applied to authentic reading assignments including academic texts, peer reviewed articles that are part of research, critiques, abstracts. Practice in systematic fundamental reading skill development and extensive reading strategies are included. 3.00 credit hours

An examination of contemporary American culture with an emphasis on the acculturation needs of international students.
