Question MarksFAQs about health insurance
• Do I have to buy health insurance?
If you are in the United States on a non-immigrant visa
(F1, F2, H1, H4, J1, J2, L1, L2, etc.)
the answer is YES.

What kind of insurance do I need?  You must have health insurance that meets the minimum university requirements.

How can I buy this insurance?
You can buy insurance through either your own insurance provider or the University's, United Healthcare.
If you are
buying insurance from a provider that is not United Healthcare, make sure that this coverage meets or exceeds the
University's requirements. If not, you will need to purchase supplemental insurance.

When do I provide TSIE with the insurance information?
Before or at TSIE registration, show proof of health insurance, in English and US dollars.
