Residence Life Homepage
TSIE students can stay in Arnold Hall, Smith Hall, San Saba Hall, San Marcos Hall, or Blanco Hall.
These halls remain open during holidays.
• Occasionally, TSIE students have also stayed in Hornsby or Burleson. These halls are not open during
the holidays so students must make other housing arrangements during those times. Contact TSIE for rates.
• Most rooms have two students. You can request a roommate who only speaks English.

FAQs about on-campus housing
• Can I move into the residence halls early?
It depends on when you arrive. Contact TSIE to find out
   what is possible.

• What is in my room?
The room comes with beds, built-in desks, lamps, chairs, & closet. There is a
   phone
line & internet connections.

• What do I need for my room?
A blanket, pillow, twin sheets, towels, & an alarm clock. Before you buy other items,
talk to your roommate, and find out what s/he has and is willing to share.

• Will I have my own bathroom in the residence hall?
In Arnold Hall and Smith Hall, you share a large bathroom
with approximately 15 other people. In San Saba Hall you share a bathroom with three other people. In Blanco Hall,
you share a bathroom with one person, your roommate.

• What is the meal plan?
TSIE students use a flexible meal plan called Dining Dollars.

• Can I cook in the residence hall? Is there a kitchen?
Each residence hall has a communal kitchen with a stove
and microwave. You can rent or buy a small refrigerator for your room.

• Do you have a homestay program so I can live with an American family?
No, sorry, not at the present time.
But…if you live in the residence halls you can request an English-speaking roommate.

No, TSIE students with family live off-campus.
