TSIE UNDERGRADUATE BRIDGE PROGRAM 
An opportunity to begin limited academic study with intensive English language support for one to two semesters

For Undergraduate Admission

► Complete International Student Application Form
► Submit US $75 non-refundable application fee
► Submit original academic records (or copies certified by a school official) of
    all secondary and post secondary course work, exam results, certificates awarded,
    and/or diplomas.
    A certified English translation is required if those records are not in English.
► Submit financial support statement: documented proof of sufficient financial resources
► Submit official TOEFL score: iBT 59-77 with 4 out of 4 minimum section scores of 14
    or PBT 500-547 or CBT 173-210; or official academic IELTS score of 5.5-6.0
For the freshman applicant The graduate of a foreign secondary school must
    demonstrate above average academic achievement and the education equivalent
    of a U.S. high school graduate
For the transfer applicant The student transferring with 30 or more credits must
    have a minimum 2.25 grade point average on the 4.0 scale 

FOR TSIE ADMISSION 
• Complete TSIE application form # 2 for prospective Bridge students
• Submit US $20 non-refundable TSIE application fee

From TSIE Bridge to Regular Admission

The TSIE Bridge student earns admission to full-time academic study through
OPTION 1
► Achieving TOEFL of 78 or higher iBT with 3 out of 4 minimum section scores of
    19/reading; 19/listening; 19/speaking; 18/writing; or 550 or higher PBT;
    or 213 or higher CBT
► Completing each credit-bearing class and TSIE class with a grade of C or better

OPTION 2 
► Completing all TSIE 5500 classes with grade of A or B and TSIE recommendation
► Completing each academic class with grade of C or better
    NO ADDITIONAL TOEFL SCORE IS REQUIRED

• Who should apply?
   The academically eligible student with TOEFL PBT 500-547, CBT 173-210, 59-77 or iBT with all
   minimum section scores of no less than 14; or 5.5 to 6.0 IELTS (Academic).
   The student must meet all other admission requirements.

• What is the purpose of the TSIE Bridge program?
   To allow international undergraduate students to improve their English language proficiency while
   taking academic classes. Eligible students enroll in both intensive English and academic classes.

• What type of I-20 will the Bridge student receive?
   The student's I-20 will indicate bachelor's degree with English language training.

• How long is the Bridge program?
   A maximum of two semesters prior to full-time academic study.

• How many academic classes can a Bridge student take?
   A maximum of 9 credit hours over a period of 2 semesters. No more than 6 credit hours
   may be earned in 1 semester. more

• How many intensive English classes can a Bridge student take?
   First semester bridge students must enroll in 3 intensive English classes. Second semester
   bridge students must enroll in 2 or 3 Intensive English classes depending on their progress.
