I-20 & Visa Information

Before making an appointment for the F1 student visa, you MUST pay the SEVIS I-901 fee

I. ON-LINE:
    1. Go to www.fmjfee.com and pay the fee with a credit card.
    2. Click on the button "Proceed to I-901 Form and Payment."

II. WESTERN UNION:
    1. Pay the fee in your country through Western Union.

III. WITH YOUR TSIE APPLICATION:
    1. On your TSIE application form, check the box "SEVIS fee".
    2. Include the fee with your application AND on the application, write the city where you were born.
        TSIE will complete SEVIS I-901 and send you the receipt with the I-20.

FAQs:
• What is an I-20?
Before you can apply for a student visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate,
you must first have an I-20. You will be required to submit this form when you apply for a visa.

• How do I get an I-20?
TSIE can send a SEVIS approved I-20 to you after completion of the
application process.

• What is the SEVIS I-901 fee?
The SEVIS I-901 fee supports the Student and Exchange Visitor Program
in DHS. It must be paid before you apply for the visa.

• How do I get the student visa?
You will need to arrange a visa appointment at the closest United States
embassy, consulate, or diplomatic mission.

• What do I take to the consulate to get my student visa?
Valid passport, I-20, SEVIS I-901 receipt, and proof of financial support.
The consulate should tell you if any other documents are required.
