This colonia, located off of FM 1015 between the cities of Edcouch and Mercedes, Texas in Hidalgo County, is remarkable for the atrocious condition of its roads. Passage through these roads is extremely slow and difficult, even in this dry period. Because the colonia is old and established, the houses are sturdy. However, some of the houses still utilize the outhouse.
