Stephen R. Gregg Presidential Endowed Scholarship

Honors College Scholarships

Twelve to eighteen Honors College Scholarships are awarded annually for $1,000.

Depending on funding availability, one Jim and Elizabeth Camp Scholarship is awarded annually for $500.    

Eligibility Criteria

• Awarded to freshmen and currently enrolled students who have been accepted into the Honors College.
• Applicants must demonstrate academic strength and engagement in the community and maintain a semester grade point average of at least 3.25.
• Applicants must enroll in at least 12 hours per semester.
• Applicants must reapply each year and meet all eligibility requirements.

 
Application Procedures and Deadlines

• Continuing students: by 5 p.m. on March 1, complete online scholarship form and submit two letters of recommendation to the Honors College.
• Incoming freshmen: must have been accepted to Texas State and apply through the regular scholarship application by December 15.

Emmie Craddock Scholarship

Three scholarships are awarded, each $1,500 annually, depending on funding availability.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must enroll at Texas State with a major in Chemistry, English, History or Physics, or enter the Honors College.
• Currently enrolled or transfer students who meet the criteria above must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
• Incoming freshmen must have an ACT composite score of 27 or above, SAT composite score of 1150 or above, or rank in the upper 10 percent of their high school graduating class.
• Recipients are required to maintain an overall and semester grade point average of 3.5 or above.
• Applicants must reapply each year and meet all eligibility requirements.

Application Procedures and Deadlines

• Continuing students: by 5 p.m. on March 1, fill out online scholarship form and arrange for two additional letters of recommendation to be submitted to the Honors College.
• Incoming freshmen: must turn in completed application by December 15, for scholarships awarded in the following fall semester.  Students must have been accepted to Texas State and apply through the regular scholarship application.
