Eligibility

Who is eligible to join the University Honors Program?

•    Entering freshmen from the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class, or
•    Entering freshmen with a score of 27 on the ACT or 1180 on the SAT

If you have not applied to the university yet, please visit the admissions web site at http://www.admissions.txstate.edu/.

•    Current or transfer students are encouraged to apply if they have a GPA of at least 3.25

There is no deadline for University Honors applications, however, signup for honors classes usually begins during the previous semester.  If a course has a maximum number of students signed up, applicants will be put on a waiting list and a spot in the class is not guaranteed.
