In celebration of this year’s Common Experience theme of Sustainability, the Honors Forum is exploring the interconnectedness of The Commons. The Commons are described as anything that we all have joint “ownership” of or access to, such as the air or the oceans. In acknowledgement of how it is everyone’s responsibility to take care of and protect these natural systems, the Forum has encouraged students, faculty and staff to participate in the curation/creation of our gallery.

Interweaving the four natural elements, litter, endangered species, landfills, carbon footprints, polar bears and paper made from old military uniforms, the Commons Experience Gallery explores how each living being has a place in our global system and that no one species has the right to exploit or eradicate others.
