Thesis Forum

The Honors College holds a Thesis Forum each Fall semester to provide a venue for students to present their honors theses to the academic and University communities.  Along with providing leadership development for students in presentation skills, the Thesis Forum is seen as a celebration of the culmination of students' self-driven academic projects.  Open to all, the Forum acknowledges the academic achievement of the participants and seeks to inspire the spirit of academic curiosity in students, staff, and members of the community.


Landscaping the MLK/LBJ Crossroads Memorial: Urban Horticulture Class Project

The Urban Horticulture class infused practice into their curriculum by landscaping the MLK/LBJ Crossroads Memorial. Armed with a pickaxe and garden shovels, the students added greenery to the space.


Dia de los Muertos

October 30, 2014

The Dia de los Muertos Celebration invited the Texas State community to experience the tradition at El Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos. Face painting, sugar skull making, crafting, and traditional foods were available for the community to experience and enjoy.


Meet the Professor Night

Honors professors gave presentations on courses offered spring 2015.  This was a time for professors to recruit students and for students to learn more about potential classes, in addition to meeting professors.
