Probation
An honors student whose Texas State GPA falls below 3.25 for any semester or term is placed on honors (not university) probation for the following long semester. The student may register for an honors class during the probationary semester. However, students in good standing will be given priority in signing up for honors classes.
Suspension
An honors student whose Texas State GPA remains below a 3.25 after the completion of the probationary semester is placed on honors (not university) suspension from the program and is not eligible to enroll in an honors course until the Texas State GPA is 3.25 or higher, unless otherwise determined by the dean of the Honors College.
Dismissal
Within one calendar year of being placed on honors suspension, if your Texas State GPA has not been raised to 3.25, you will be dismissed from the college (not from the university), unless otherwise determined by the dean of the Honors College.
