|The Undergraduate History Club is a student organization that is open to all Texas State students from any field of study. The goal of the History Club at Texas State is to provide the opportunity for students to socialize with people of similar interests, help students adapt to the college environment and to develop leadership skills through holding office within the club. |
History Club hosts a barbeque in Taylor-Murphy Hall, to kick off each semester, to welcome back new and returning students. It also hosts a field trip each semester to sites of historical interest. The club sponsors a variety of events from workshops, trivia nights, movie viewings and class previews of upcoming semesters.
Professors from the Department of History and its staff participate in many of our events and contribute much to the organization. The History Club hosts a faculty brunch each semester to thank them for their much appreciated support. The faculty brunch also gives students the opportunity to meet and mingle with many of the history professors here at Texas State University.
New students from all fields are welcome and encouraged to seek out membership in this organization. Information regarding our semester events will also be posted on our bulletin board located in Taylor-Murphy Hall to the left in the entry way. Anyone with an interest in history and wants to actively participate in the History Club at Texas State please contact one of the officers listed on this page; or refer to our club Facebook.
