Undergraduate History Club

The History Club is an undergraduate student organization open to all history students.  Its goal is to provide history majors and minors with opportunities to socialize with students and professors who have similar interests, and to provide a network of support through mentoring and workshops.   The club sponsors a picnic in Sewell Park at the beginning of the fall semester and a spring field trip to sites of historical interest.  History faculty support the club through participation in these and other events, such as movie nights and history skills workshops.  The newly elected club officers currently are working on an official statement of the club’s purpose, plans for membership recruitment, and potential projects to enhance campus awareness of the past.  History students who are interested in actively participating in these activities should contact the club president or faculty advisor.
