Approve or Reject a Requisition [NEW]

Requisition Approvers will follow this process to Release or Reject requisition lines that they are responsible for. When a requisition is saved, one workflow task will be created for each requisition line awaiting approval. Hourly emails (during business hours) will notify Requisition Approvers that New Workflow has been delivered to their SAP Portal Worklist.

Quick Reference

  1. Logon to the SAP Portal.
  2. Click on the “Worklist” Tab.
  3. Click on the “AM Release…” task to process. You will see the requisition number and line in the task description.
  4. Following completion of the requisition release, click Refresh to see the task removed from your worklist.

Requisition Release (Approval) by Account Manager

  1. Verify accuracy of requisition including storage location, goods receipt, tracking number, etc .
  2. Click the Account Assignment tab to review accuracy of account information.
  3. Click the Release strategy tab to continue with the release.
  4. Click green check to Release (Release Strategy tab).
  5. Click Save.
  6. Close window.

Requisition Rejection by Account Manager

Some reasons to reject a requisition include inaccurate account assignment, missing information, insufficient funds, etc.

  1. Click Reject button.
  2. Enter appropriate comments in the Header Text section.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Close window.

Following the rejection, the requisition creator will receive an email notification (within 10 minutes). The requisition creator will also receive an immediate “Requisition Rejected” task in their worklist to resolve the rejection.
