University employees who make three or more business related trips per fiscal year are expected to apply for a Corporate Travel Card. This card is required by the Texas Building and Procurement Commission and the State of Texas, to assure that state contract rates are available to state employees. Higher travel expenses will not be reimbursed if they result from failure to use a Corporate Travel Card.
NOTE: The Travel Card is issued to TxState employees, individually, and is their “individual” card. Failure to make prompt payment to the credit card company may affect the employees credit. The supervisors of employees who have outstanding debt with the credit card company, may be notified.
