01. POLICY STATEMENT
- 01.01
- We at Texas State are committed to providing sound financial
stewardship through accounting, budgeting, monetary management
systems, and fundraising activities which maximize the
institution's fiscal posture. This procedure contributes to the
implementation of this policy.
02. PROCEDURES FOR RECEIPTING UNIVERSITY FUNDS
- 02.01
- University funds may not be used in fundraising
unless such funds are receipted to the University's books or the
University receives appropriate consideration. The President or
the VPFSS must approve the consideration arrangements. When the
funds are not receipted to the University's books, a written
agreement is normally required.
- 02.02
- It is advantageous for the University to assure that
University-related clubs and organizations maintain proper
bookkeeping. Therefore, the University may arrange to perform
bookkeeping functions for these groups at no charge through the
University's club account program. A University-related
foundation may be handled in the agency fund category.
