The Doctoral Organization is changing. We are in the process of amending our current bylaws to reflect the changes that are necessary for our sustained operation. Also, we know that with everything you have to do as a busy Doctoral Student, you will not have time to sit and read through each line of the Bylaws. We will provide them to you in their entirety, but in an attempt to make this quick and easy, this is a simple summary of what exists.

Officers are elected into office. We try to make this as easy as possible. Open nominations will be taken in the Spring meeting and you can self nominate. You are elected by a simple majority and the outgoing President counts the votes. Your term of office will last one year from the end of the Fall meeting following a Spring election. Each officer and appointed member has specific duties relating to the operation of the organization. Hopefully, as the organization expands, so will its role in the University and within the program. That is the simplified form. However, if you have questions or want to discuss specifics with any of the officers, please read the full text of the bylaws. They are provide in the link below.
