ASPS would like to welcome our new cohort with open arms and we hope everyone else will do the same and share some "war stories" and helpful hints to make the transition smooth. ASPS hopes to get the new cohort introduced to our ongoing members and students in the next month, and we hope everyone will be able to attend our next event.
Thanks for everyone who came to ASPS Potluck. We had a great time getting to know the new Fall 2009 cohort! We hope even more people will be able to make it out to the next ASPS's event!
Some of our fellow school psychology students participated in Autism Speaks; Walk now for Autism. We were proud of our fellow students who supported the event which raised over $100,000 for Autism awareness and research. Donations are still being accepted; www.walknowforautism.org/austin/team/asps
According to the website: www.autismspeaks.org/
Autism Speaks' Walk Now for Autism, is the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program, is our signature fundraising and awareness event, taking place in communities across the United States, as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Our first event of the new academic year when off without a hitch considering the logistical problems we had setting everything up. We were happy to see all the students who attended, more students than we have ever seen at an ASPS event, and hope everyone had an enjoyable time, mingled, and hopefully will come to our next event, halloween party maybe, and the events we have planned for the remainder of the semester.

ASPS welcomed the new fall 2008 cohort at the beginning of their semester, and we would like if all our members and fellow students would insure that their first semester here is an enjoyable one.
