Professional Counseling Program Application Process
February 15th
(Cohort begins each Fall Semester)
Admission to the Professional Counseling Program requires two separate steps:
1) Application to the Graduate College (step one below)
2) Application to the Professional Counseling Program/Student Affairs (step two below)
The Professional Counseling Program does not consider your file complete until all Step One and Step Two materials have been received by the Program!
Submit the following directly to the Graduate College:
1) Completed Graduate College Application for Admission
2) Application fee
Request that the following be submitted directly to the Graduate College:
3) Official transcripts of all college and university course work
4) Official report of scores obtained within the last five years on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
Allow enough time for the Graduate College to process your application, fee, transcripts, and scores and deliver them to the Program by the deadline. Incomplete packets will not be accepted or considered! We recommend you have all materials at the Graduate College at least 3 weeks prior to the Program application deadline. If your file is not complete by the application deadline, you will be considered for the following cycle.
Step Two: Application to the Professional Counseling Program in Student Affairs
To apply to the Professional Counseling Program with an emphasis in Student Affairs, collect all of the following documents and send/deliver the entire application packet with all documents to the Program by the deadline. Those applications received past the deadline will be reviewed for the following cycle.

b. Additional letters of recommendation may be included but will not be considered in lieu of our official Recommendation Forms, which are required to be completed in full.
c. Faxes will not be accepted.
Incomplete Program application packets will not be reviewed or considered for admission and will be destroyed after one calendar year!
