After the graduation ceremony was concluded, a reception for the CPM graduates and their guests was held in the Capitol Grill at the Texas Capitol.
The June 2006 graduates of the Texas CPM Program include 7 who graduated under the direction of Texas State University William P. Hobby Center for Public Service, 6 from the City of Houston CPM Program offered by Sam Houston State University, 2 from the CPM Program offered by the University of Texas at Arlington and 3 from Stephen F. Austin State University’s CPM Program.

Former Texas Lt. Governor Bill Hobby Presents UT Professor Emeritus Terrell Blodgett with Service to the Profession Award
On December 12, 2005, the Texas CPM Program, which is offered by Texas State University’s William P. Hobby Center for Public Service, held its semi-annual graduation ceremony at the Texas State Capitol. Delivering the graduation speech was the Honorable John Carter, District 31 Congressman from Central Texas. Congressman Carter spoke about the leadership and management challenges faced by public sector managers in Texas and United States.

At the CPM Graduation ceremony former Texas Lt. Governor Bill Hobby presented University of Texas Professor Emeritus Terrell Blodgett with a special award for his lifelong service to the City Management Profession. Professor Blodgett, the author of the book A History of City Management in Texas, was presented with an honorary CPM Graduation Diploma.

Ron Faulkenberry, former Director of Planning with the City of Burnet was presented with the Askew Award for the best Applied Project in Texas. The award was given to Mr. Faulkenberry by the American Academy of Certified Public Managers (AACPM).
An additional award for Service to the Texas CPM Program was presented to Ms. Janice Springer by Dr. Steve Springer, Director of Texas State University’s Occupational Education Department.
After the graduation ceremony was concluded, a reception for the CPM graduates and their guests was held in the Capitol Grill at the Texas Capitol.
The December 12, 2005 CPM Graduation included 31 participants who graduated under the direction of Texas State University William P. Hobby Center for Public Service. This group included 10 managers from the City of Abilene, Texas; 9 participants from the CPM Program on the Texas State University campus and 12 participants from the Brooks City Base Program located in San Antonio.
In addition, graduates from the following universities completed the CPM Program. 2 participants from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs; 7 participants from the School of Urban and Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington; 4 participants from Sam Houston State University’s CPM Program located in Houston, Texas and 2 participants from the Stephen F. Austin CPM Program located in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Former Texas Lt. Governor, William P. Hobby Attends Graduation Ceremony
On December 6, 2004, the Texas CPM Program, which is offered by Texas State University’s William P. Hobby Center for Public Service, held one its largest graduation ceremonies ever held at the Texas State Capitol. Delivering the graduation speech was UT LBJ School Professor, the Honorable Ken Apfel, former Commissioner of the Social Security Administration. Former Texas Lt. Governor, William P. Hobby introduced Commissioner Apfel who spoke about leadership and management challenges in the US & Texas Public Service.
One of the highlights of the graduation was the induction of 40 CPM graduates into the Texas Society of Certified Public Managers and the American Academy for Certified Public Managers.
After the graduation ceremony was concluded, a reception for the CPM graduates and their guests was held in the Capitol Grill at the Texas Capitol.
The December 2004 graduates of the Texas CPM Program include 26 who graduated under the direction of Texas State University William P. Hobby Center for Public Service including 14 managers from the City of Laredo, Texas; 1 from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs 5 from the School of Urban and Public Affairs at Texas Tech University and 8 from Stephen F. Austin State University’s CPM Program.

On June 8, 2004, the Texas CPM Program, which is offered by Texas State Universitys William P. Hobby Center for Public Service, held one its largest graduation ceremonies ever held at the Texas State Capitol. Delivering the graduation speech was the Honorable Charles Matthews. Texas State Railroad Commissioner. Former Texas Lt. Governor, William P. Hobby introduced Commissioner Matthews who spoke about leadership, public service and the current status of the Texas Economy.
One of the highlights of the graduation was the induction of 49 CPM graduates into the Texas Society of Certified Public Managers and the American Academy for Certified Public Managers.
After the graduation ceremony was concluded, a reception for the CPM graduates and their guests was held in the Capitol Grill at the Texas Capitol.
The June 2004 graduates of the Texas CPM Program include 23 who graduated under the direction of Texas State University William P. Hobby Center for Public Service; 7 from the University of Texas at Austins LBJ School of Public Affairs and 19 from the School of Urban and Public Affairs at Texas Tech University.
Thirteen of Texas State University CPM Graduates were participants in the CPM Program offered in the City of Laredo, Texas. The 19 Texas Tech CPM Graduates were participants in the CPM Program offered by Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.
