AcademicIn addition to acquiring continuing education and certification credit, participants in San Marcos, Austin and San Antonio can also take the courses for undergraduate or graduate academic credit. Three hours of academic course credit may be earned for each CPM track at no additional cost. To receive academic course credit, the student must register for academic credit on the first day of each of the CPM courses. Registration will be conducted by the course professor. Students can earn academic credit through extension at Texas State without being admitted to an academic degree program. Some academic programs may accept less than 12 hours of credit toward their programs. Check with degree advisor for specific program guidelines on the transfer of credit. In accordance with the Texas State undergraduate catalog, not more than 30 hours of a combination of extension and correspondence courses academic credit may be counted toward an Texas State undergraduate degree.
