This summer 6th-8th grade students will become actively involved in the restoration of the San Marcos River through Stewardship Academy Summer Day Camps. During these camps students will learn about exotic species and their negative affect on our habitat. Students will remove Honeysuckle and Elephant Ears from the Wetlands Boardwalk, hone their canoeing skills while collecting water hyacinth, replant native species, participate in a trash cleanup, and learn how to control erosion. Aquatic Sciences Adventures Camp: Ages 9-15

Aquatic Sciences Adventures Camp is offered in two formats. Eight, week-long resident camps and two,
2-day non-resident camps are offered. All activities are supervised by faculty and staff members of Texas State University-San Marcos and by certified teachers. Enrollment is limited to 26 students per session,

Young Writers' Camp
For students ages 7-18, day camps meet in July at Texas State University-San Marcos, or the Round Rock location. Ages 7-10 meet two weeks, July 7-18, mornings and ages 11-13 meet two weeks, July 7-18, afternoons. Ages 14-18 have two options.
