Workplace Violence

TXSTQI designed special training programs to help front-line employees and managers to be more aware of the signals associated with potential workplace violence. The programs have been delivered to both the public and private sector. It has proven successful in a wide variety of work situations ranging from workers in the Water & Waste Water Department in Arkansas to medical workers in private hospitals working with mental health patients to managers of large organizations discovering how management contributes to escalating or de-escalating violence potential.

  • Crisis: Prelude to Violence
  • De-fusing Violence through Customer Service

  • Safety Away from the Workplace

Workplace Violence: Management's Role in Prevention

  • Ignore It and It Will Go Away?
  • Zero Tolerance

  • Developing a Violence Prevention Plan

Workplace Violence: Risk Assessment & Prevention Planning
TXSTQI experience in this area has demonstrated the value of external objectivity in coaching organizations through the risk assessment of current policies, procedures, facilities and training activities. Frequently, a third party is able to see and recommend adjustments with an objectivity that proves difficult to achieve from within an organization. Coaching the necessary parties in the development of a prevention plan to protect the personnel and facilities of the organization from violence is a major part of this activity. These services are delivered through interagency contract with public entities and by contract with private organizations.
