Opportunities for Partnership
The very heart of the TXSTQI's purpose is contained in this section of activity. Our commitment is to take a real customer need and attempt to develop the resources to address those needs with state of the art answers. The institute becomes the broker to acquire and deliver the best possible resources to respond to the needs in a timely, efficient, and economical manner.
Examples of Custom Designed Services:
Laser technology capable of changing the medical record storage paradigm is a technology for which the institute is presently seeking an application.
The record management needs of the criminal justice system received an innovative proposal that may prove to be truly 'out of the box' thinking.
Distance learning is another technology on which the institute is preparing to apply their combined team knowledge.
Solutions to the welfare recipient training dilemma is pending funding and when funded will attempt to demonstrate more than just training the adults.
Invitation is being issued to the education community to take advantage of having a computer in the home of children of the welfare system. The opportunity that is opened by the presence of the system for educational games and programs for those children is intoxicating.

TXSTQI has responded as a competitive bidder to many of the published needs of the state. In many of those responses an effort to blend the resources from various best practices have been accomplished. The reengineering effort with TxDOT involved in the proposal resources from three public institutions and five private organizations - each bringing to the team a special expertise not represented by any of the others.
