Have you heard in the news about MRSA or staph infections? Or have you heard about salmonella or ecoli found on meats and vegetables? Did you know that certain reptiles and aquatic animals that are pets can carry or create salmonella and ecoli?

Bacteria contamination has become a major concern in grocery stores, meat markets, restaurants and home environments. Most people are not aware that the Center for Diease Control (CDC) states that 90% of reptiles we have as pets may have salmonella, or that 25% - 30% of us carry staph or MRSA on our skin or in our nose.

The sampling for bacteria is very simple to perform and this course will help you understand how to do it.
