Are you interested in becoming a Texas Professional Home Inspector? In association with A Better School of Building Inspection (ABSBI), we offer the only correspondence course approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission that meets the educational requirements to become a home inspector in the State of Texas.
ABSBI is approved to offer all 448 hours required to be a professional home inspector with no apprenticeship / sponsorship required. All 448 hours are offered through DVD's, manuals, and practice inspections - no need to sit in a classroom.
After you complete the 448 hours, you also need to pass the State exam to get your license. It is a difficult exam, so, in addition to the training material, ABSBI has also developed a Texas Exam Study Guide, included at no extra cost. One reason the test is so hard is that many of the questions have to do with code, not home inspection. ABSBI covers code in this training. Inspectors in Texas are licensed through the Texas Real Estate Commission - TREC.
