To use most of these web applications, you must first have an active Texas State
NetID and password. If you do not have an active username please refer to the
FAQ on Texas State NetIDs.
Texas State students can use the first link below to create their Texas State NetID.

Create or Reactivate your Texas State NetID (username) (students only)
You will be prompted for your Texas State NetID and password when you click on any of
the links below:

- Change/Synchronize your Texas State password
- Lets you change your Texas State password and sychronizes it so that it
works on various computer systems at Texas State.
- Change your CATS PIN
- Lets you change your Texas State CATS PIN. This PIN is used to interact with other Texas State systems
such as the CATS voice response system.
- Forward your Texas State email to another address
- Automatically forward mail sent to your Texas State mail address to another email address. If you
have a forward set already, you can change or remove it.
- Create your personal email name
- Create a personal email name such that other users can send mail to you using a email name of your choosing. For example:
jsmith@txstate.edu.
- Show your Texas State disk quota information
- This will allow you to see how much disk space you have remaining for storing mail messages and web pages.
- Compress your Texas State mail file
- Use this to compress your mail file to save disk space. When you delete messages, the space they
take up will not be available until you compress your mail file.
- Create your Texas State personal web directory
- If you want to create a home page, you will need to create the directory where your web pages will be stored.
- Create a simple home page
- You can create a very simple home page to get you started quickly. Use this only if you want to have a very simple home page
with just your name and email address on it.
- Create a share for your scratch directory
(faculty & staff only)
- Create a Pathworks share for your scratch disk directory. Shares can be accessed by computers in the Computing domain.
