Common Experience 2009-2010

The Common Experience is a year-long initiative of Texas State University-San Marcos designed to cultivate a common intellectual conversation across the campus, to enhance student participation in the intellectual life of the campus, and to foster a sense of community across our entire campus and extended community.

A timely look at the nature of learning itself, the 2009-2010 Common Experience theme "The Whole Mind: Crossing Boundaries of Disciplines" invites campus and community-wide conversation, participation, research and creativity. We are excited about whole new ideas that could emerge, 21st-century challenges that could be conquered, and even fun that will be experienced as new synergies are generated across halls, between departments and with the community.
