Want to participate in the Commencement Ceremony before you officially graduate?

NOTE: The participant policy is suspended until further notice. No particpants. 


Effective the spring 2016 semester, students are eligible to participate in commencement if they will: 1) complete all degree requirements by/in the same semester they apply to graduate, or 2) complete all degree requirements within the next adjoining semester with no more than one academic requirement remaining. Students must submit a graduation application in order to participate in commencement and then, again, to receive their diploma when their degree is confirmed. If you have any questions about the graduation requirements, please see your academic advisor.


Wondering how you'll hear about the status of your application?
We will notify you about the status of your application via your Texas State email account. Please allow several business days for application processing. Once you receive an email regarding your graduation application status, read the attached letter carefully to understand whether you are on track to complete all degree requirements, are qualified to attend the Commencement Ceremony, etc. Contact the University College Advising Center with any questions about your graduation application processing or results.
