Each year the admissions committee recommends approximately 20 new students for admission to the Student Affairs in Higher Education program for the fall semester. The program is a cohort-based program that is designed for students to pursue as a full-time student. Students will enroll in all core classes together as a group until they graduate from Texas State.
Applicants will be reviewed holistically, and the following material and criteria will be considered in the decision process:
- GPA: Preferred 3.0 or higher in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework
- Official GRE score, Preferred 150 Verbal, 145 Quantitative, and 4.0 Analytic Writing (or 900 Verbal and Quantitative combined from the old examination)
- Statement of Purpose
- Three Recommendations
Once all admissions materials are received, the admissions committee will review all applications in full. After the initial review of applications, qualified applicants will be invited to campus during the spring semester to interview for admission into the program and interview for open graduate assistantship positions.
The SAHE Program Interviews are scheduled for February 27 - February 28, 2017. An optional campus tour and dinner will take place the afternoon and evening of February 26, 2017.
