Chi Sigma Iota is an international professional counseling honor society. This student-led organization strives to provide professional development opportunities, with the largest offering being the Kaleidoscope Conference. The conference will cover an array of topics and is co-sponsored by the Professional Counseling Program. Continuing education units will be offered.

Conference Keynote Session: "Sandtray Therapy: Why it's Effective with Clients"
Linda E. Homeyer, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S, is a Professor of Professional Counseling at Texas State University, where she developed their play therapy and sandtray therapy program. Dr. Homyer is the recipient of the Association for Play Therapy's Lifetime Achievement Award and designated as a Director Emerita.
Dr. Homeyer presents locally, nationally, and internationally on play therapy and sandtray therapy, and has numerous publications, including "Sandtray Therapy: A Practical Manual" (3rd ed.), and "The Handbook of Group Play Therapy". Her publications have been translated into Chinese, Russian, Korean, and Spanish.
