Barbara Sparrow earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2002.  She began working as an adjunct for Texas State in 2004, and she became a full-time lecturer in 2008.  The courses she teaches most frequently are: Basic Techniques, Assessment, Theories, Internship, and Abnormal.

Barbara is from Montana, although she became a Texan in 1996.  She lives in northwest Austin with her husband, James, her daughter, Molly, and her evil cat, Lily.
