Course Description:
This course represents a student’s continuing thesis enrollment. The student continues to enroll in this course until the thesis is submitted for binding.
The student must continue to register for COUN 5399B until successful completion of the thesis. Enrollment in COUN 5399B is required during the semester the student graduates.
Course Objectives:
COUN 5399B is the second of two thesis courses. During this semester, the student completes the thesis process. The objectives of this semester include:
Methods of Instruction:
Through lectures via multiple multimedia formats (e.g., class discussions, powerpoint, handouts, etc.), outside activities, small group role plays, and experiential exercises.
The student will submit the thesis to the Dean of the Graduate College and graduate.
Graded on a progress (PR), no credit (F) or Credit (CR).
The Graduate College automatically gives credit for COUN 5399A upon successful submission of the thesis and the submission of a CR grade for COUN 5399B by the thesis chair.
Semester Schedule:
The student will meet with the chair of his/her thesis committee on a regular basis. This schedule to review the student’s writing progress will be developed and agreed upon by the professor and thesis student.
The student is responsible to know and meet all Graduate College deadlines for submission of the thesis and graduation.
