
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University - San Marcos seeks to fill a tenure track position at the assistant/associate professor level in the area of materials chemistry with emphasis in nanomaterials to begin in the Fall of 2008. A doctoral degree in chemistry or related subject area with research and educational expertise in materials chemistry is required. The candidate will be expected to establish an active externally funded research program at Texas State in an area complementary to the current research programs of faculty in the department. The successful candidate will have undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities, including development of materials chemistry courses in support of plans for a Ph.D. program in materials science.
